Rhys Bambrick, born in Quebec in 1989, is a sculptor and student of art and philosophies of aesthetics. An avid reader of fiction, watcher of films and television and participant in most visual pop culture, he is interested in images and the narratives they represent, as well as the images that narratives spawn within the visual imagination.
He received his B.A. in Studio Art from Vassar College in May 2011 and after a brief stint as an artist assistant in the Hudson Valley, he packed it all up and moved West to work in his own studio in Berkeley, CA. He is currently attending the San Francisco Art Institute, working towards earning a MFA in Sculpture in May 2015.
